Valparaiso Fastpitch Alumni Day

Dear Valpo Softball Alum,

This fall to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Title IX and to honor our softball alums, the Valparaiso University Fastpitch Team would like to extend a personal invitation to the first annual Valparaiso Softball Alumni Day on Saturday, October 4, 2008.

Whether it is reliving your on-the-field-glories or reminiscing with former teammates, we want to provide you the opportunity to celebrate Valparaiso Softball and the successful women it has produced. You are a part of our history, and therefore forever a part of our program.

Female athletes particularly have benefited tremendously from the on-field competition, the off the field camaraderie and passion that surrounds sports. Regardless if your team broke records, or you struggled through a losing season, each of you has played a significant role in the history of Valpo Athletics and what it means to be a female athlete.

Without the women of the past, our team would not be in the position we are today. Last year, we eclipsed nearly every record in the book and are poised to have our best season in 2009.

We want to take a weekend to celebrate and thank the women that paved the way for today’s Crusader Fastpitch team. We hope to see you this fall and look forward to learning about your experience as a Crusader.
