Winter Clinics

All Clinics Will Be Held At The Athletics Recreation Center On Campus. Participants Will Be Broken Into Groups According To Age And Skill Level. Registration Deadline Is Monday, January 5, 2009.

Pitching and Catching Clinic
Date: Sunday, January 18th
Time: 12:00-4:00 pm

Cost: $65.00

Pitchers will learn the basic mechanics of pitching including spin, body alignment and pitch control. Catchers will develop blocking, framing and throwing skills along with pitch strategy. All pitchers must bring a catcher, parent, sibling or friend to the clinic.

Hitting and Base Running Clinic
Date: Sunday, January 25th
Time: 12:00-4:00 pm
Cost: $65.00

Participants will be introduced to hitting basics to develop the skills necessary for offensive play. Campers will be provided with several drills to advance their hitting fundamentals. Players will also receive instruction to improve base running skills including taking leads, rounding bases and sliding.

Defensive Skills and Off-season Training Clinic
Date: Sunday, February 1st
Time: 12:00-4:00 pm
Cost: $65.00

Clinic will focus on the defensive skills necessary in the game of fastpitch including, basic fielding mechanics, throwing and positioning. Both infield and outfield play will be addressed along with a session discussing the importance of off-season training.
